The tablesaw dates back as far as the 16th and 17th centuries in various European countries. Although there are many different types of tablesaws in production today, the common denominator is that these woodworking machines use a circular saw that is mounted on an arbor and powered by an electric motor.

Here at Laguna Tools, we are proud to unveil our latest line of tablesaws known as the Fusion machines. In this handy guide to our newest additions to the Laguna Tools family, we will cover everything you need to know about the F1, F2, and F3 Fusion tablesaw machines.

F1 Fusion Tablesaw Overview

Powered by a 110-volt single-phase motor that produces 1.5 horsepower, the F1 Fusion tablesaw is the smallest and most affordable machine from this lineup. It’s lightweight for easier maneuvering, and it fits perfectly into any size shop.

The tabletop center section is built out of cast iron, and the table wings are made from stamped steel. The T-square style 30-inch fence uses a magnetic catch that locks into place using a secure steel knuckle.

Standard equipment includes an overhead saw guard that also functions as a dust collector to help keep your workspace clean. It also features a riving knife, a miter gauge, a blade changing tool, premium handles, an integrated push stick, and on-board tool storage.

The entire machine weighs approximately 195 lbs, and it requires about 58 13/16″ of space to operate in a full range of movements.

Special features on the F1 Fusion include a two-part cabinet that has a sealed floor which improves dust collection. You can even add a wheel kit to make moving this piece of equipment around your shop much easier.

F2 Fusion Tablesaw Overview

Next, we have the F2 Fusion machine that also uses a 110-volt single-phase motor, but this one generates 1.75 horsepower.

For this particular machine, you can upgrade the motor to the 220-volt for more power. There are a few other noticeable differences for this machine as well. First, this has a single cabinet with the entire tabletop is cast iron including the wings. The 36" T-square style fence has also been upgraded with a European-style hi-low fence.

This allows you to loosen the lock knobs to slide the fence back for offcuts. The polished hand wheels have also been upgraded for a sleeker look. Standard equipment includes a zero-clearance throat plate, hi-low dust collection, a quick-release blade guard, a splitter, a push stick, a riving knife, a miter gauge, blade changing tool, integrated tool storage,  and a wheel kit.

It weighs about 276 lbs, and it requires approximately 66 13/16″ of space for a full range of movement.

F3 Fusion Tablesaw Overview

If you are looking for a heavy-duty cabinet saw that fits perfectly into an industrial or commercial woodworking shop, the F3 Fusion is the way to go.

This robust piece of equipment has several unique upgrades including a right-side extension table in addition to the solid cast iron tabletop. The fence has been extended as well to either 36” or 52-inches, and the 220-volt single-phase motor pushes out 3 horsepower.

Essentially, it's very similar to the F2 Fusion but offers more power and more space to work on large projects. It weighs 385 lbs, and it also requires 69″ of space for a full range of motion while operating the machine.
